Don Lesh, the owner and creator of LESHRODS has been an avid fly fisherman for many years. It was his love of flyfishing, along with his talent in fine woodworking that moved him to begin handcrafting his own bamboo fly rods.
Don orders his Tonkin cane bamboo from China. He then hand splits the bamboo and thus begins the construction of the fly rod. He has a shop at his residence where he uses the many handmade tools and materials needed to construct his rod creations. Don spends over 40 hours on each of his handcrafted works to ensure the high quality that comes with every one of his bamboo fly rods.
